What Is a Superbill?

A superbill is an itemized form used by healthcare providers to detail which services with CPT/ICD-codes were provided to a patient.  When a patient wishes to see a provider not in their network, they are able to submit the superbill with a reimbursement form from their insurance.

How Do I Submit a Superbill for Reimbursement From My Insurance?

After your visit with Brigid Medical, your provider will create a superbill related to your visit.  Simply request your superbill from our office.  Due to the nature of needing to keep patient data confidential, we can send this via Spruce, via mail, or via in person pick-up.  We can only email to HIPPA compliant email accounts.

Where Do I Find My Insurance Medical Reimbursement Form?

Medical reimbursement forms are specific for a patient's insurance.  Most can be found on your insurance patient portal.  Brigid Medical does have some forms on file, but always double check with your insurance plan!

How Do I Submit a Superbill for Reimbursement if I Have More than One Insurance?

If a patient has more than one insurance to submit a superbill to it can be confusing which insurance to submit to.   A patient would first submit the superbill to their primary insurance.  After the primary insurance processes that superbill, if the primary insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is less than what the patient paid than the patient would submit this to the secondary insurance with the original superbill.

Does Brigid Medical See Workers' Compensation Patients Too?

Brigid Medical is happy to also accept Workman's Compensation patients in Colorado!  In fact, our providers are accredited with the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation. Although we are not in-network with any workers' compensation insurance carriers, a patient can request an authorization for treatment from their Authorized Treating Provider (ATP) and their workers' compensation insurance.
